Current Wait is over 9 Hours in A&E on Average

The current average wait time at Derry's A&E department is currently 501 minutes (9 hours) but can be longer. The latest update was given at 8am. Pressures on all Northern Ireland A&E departments has been mounting with patients being treated in the back of Ambulances for long hours.

People are still being urged only to attend the departments if in an emergency and to attend alone or with a carer / guardian if required.
