Thousands of Derry welfare claimants of Universal Credit (UC) and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) are to be affected by the welfare cuts announced by the Labour government unless Stormont step in with mitigations.

Popular Derry restaurant Social Studio has announced it's closure in Bishop Street. ''Due to rising costs of goods, electric wages'' Social Studio will be closing they said in a statement. They added they wanted to thank everyone that came to visit and to the ''wonderful'' staff.
